FINAL SCORE: Chalk Scratchings 3 – 4 Philippine FC
Match Summary: (Philippine FC)
On a sunny Sunday morning, PFC faced Chalk Scratchings. With momentum with PFC, they went into the game with confidence. There were a few changes to the squad with Rommel Ongcoy, Jesse Arroyo and a new positional change for Jeff Burgin. Right from the whistle PFC were on the front foot and not too soon after Rob DePeazer drove forward and passed it on to Richie Caporros who held up the ball and laid it on for Rob who curled in a left footed effort from outside the box. Soon after, Rob went on another run down the left and slipped in Ishan on the turn and took a first time shot which went in the bottom right corner. The 3rd came when Rob played in Richie who hit a stretching shot which fortunately bounced off of the keeper and off Richie into the goal. With confidence from the 3rd goal PFC became complacent and conceded 2 quick goals from a counter attack and a throw in into the box. For the second half on came Jesse Arroyo for the injured Eddie Gueverra. With 20 minutes already on the clock, PFC conceded a questionable free kick to which Chalk Scratching scored, with keeper Engel Cepillo getting finger tips to the ball but it wasn’t enough. With the game coming close to an end there were opportunities for them to go ahead best of which coming from RJ Matias and Ishan hitting the post and a curling free kick. With 10 mins to go Rob made another run and slipped the ball across the face of the Chalk Scratching goal and at the end of it was Ishan to tap the ball in. FT scores 4-3 and 6 games unbeaten.
