Recap

Final Score:  FC Gyro  3 -2  Dinamo Dorigo

Match Summary (FC Gyro):

Gyro showed great character battling back from being 2-0 down to win 3-2

Our Man-of-the-Match was Mike Paisley

Marc Scannell, FC Gyro

Match Summary (Dinamo Dorigo):

Dorigo started strongly with two goals in the first half hour, the first a bullet inside the box from Austin Platt after a calm Cruyff turn in the box from Liam Murray, the second a tap in inside six yards for Alex Walker after good link up play on the edge of the box from Alex, Austin and Liam. Unfortunately the wheels came off the Dorigo bus in the second half, but only after the referee judged the ball to cross the line from a messy Gyro corner just before half time. No one had celebrated and the ball looked to still be in play.

The unfortunate call against Dorigo meant heads went down and frustration crept in during the second half as they reshuffled following Joe Knox’s injury. Gyro continued to push hard and a few subs reinvigorated them. On Dorigo’s day, they might have fended off the pressure as strikers missed several 1 on 1 opportunities but in the end they couldn’t hold out, with Gyro scoring twice to take all three points. In fairness, Gyro were robbed of a stonewall penalty after some more strange refereeing but after their first half goal, you might like to thing the scales had been balanced

Our Man-of-the-Match was Brandon Potter-Johnson

Alex Walker, Dinamo Dorigo
