Recap

Badu Sports FC  6 – 3  AFC Brasenose

Match Summary: (Badu Sports FC)

Fast paced game, with AFC Brasenose taking the lead with a fantastic header against the run of play, Badu Sports FC picked up their game and equalised shortly through Josh Oyibo with a great effort from outside the area.  As play went on Ruben Alves grabbed a second for Badu FC just before the break to make it 2-1 at half time.

The teams came out fresh for the second half with the same pace, AFC Brasenose kept shutting out Badu’s efforts until Kevin Badu’s pass found Ben Hawkins to tap home and make it 3-1. Brasenose kept plugging away and had a few chances blocked but were then caught on a counter and could only defend to the result of a corner where they failed to clear the area and Josh Warburton put Badu FC 4-1 up.

Complacency crept in to the Badu side and goal keeper Chico Ramos and centre back Nana Badu confused each other which led to Brasenose tapping in a lose ball in to an empty net to make it 4-2.

As the pace of the game started to die down and players started to fatigue, winger Josh Warburton was brought down in the box and the referee pointed to the spot which led to Josh Oyibo grabbing his second of the game from the spot and making it 5-2.  The game did not end there as the never die sprite of AFC Brasenose kept going strong and a fantastic effort from Harry Allport from just shy of the half way line lobbed the Badu FC goal keeper to make it 5-3.

Badu FC reorganised and began to keep the ball trying to preserve energy and keep position which led to Kevin Badu finding winger Mohammed Namoun to slot home and make it 6-3 which brought this fantastic game to an end.
