( Philippine FC win 3-1 on Penalties )

Match Report

“The game was even an affair, with both teams having chances but not taking them.

Doves took the lead via a curling shot from outside the area. Philippine FC had chances but it took an excellent free kick from Ishan Al-Thamir to even the score.

With 10 mins to go, Philippine FC took the lead for the first time in the game with a free kick across the goal from Rob DePeazer, landing on the head of Jeffrey Burgin to find Richie Caparros who grabbed the opportunity and scored from 6 yards out.

With minutes to spare, Doves found space on the counter and took the opportunity and scored the equaliser.  The game went to penalties and Philippine FC won the tense shoot out 3-1. Excellent saves from Engel Cepillo and successful penalties from Haseeb Majeed, Jeffrey Burgin and Danny Blair meant that Philippine FC went through to the next round.”
